♻️👗Fashion Trashion Show Recap. We are SO impressed with the work our students showcased in the Ingleside Chamber of Commerce Fashion Trashion Show. This event challenged students to create stunning couture from unconventional materials, by upcycling or repurposing items that would otherwise be discarded. Their designs stood out with exceptionalism that captivated the audience and judges, while pushing the boundaries of imagination. Whether they modeled or were on design teams, big shout out to all of our students who embodied the spirit of innovation and sustainability!

Students from LTMS and IHS participated in an inclusive game of flag football this week. LTMS won first place! Great job to Mr. Mayer and all teachers in the SPED department for making our students so happy with a chance to play and have fun with their friends.

For the month of February, Kimberly Williams, of GJM Elementary was selected for the Family Matters Award! She was recognized during our School Board Meeting, where she was celebrated for her outstanding efforts. She was also awarded $100 from the Ingleside ISD Education Foundation. Below is an excerpt from the nomination that was submitted on her behalf. "Our son Elijah is in 5th grade at GJM and was born with multiple heart conditions. About a month ago we had a small scare, and Elijah was not feeling very well after PE and recess. The first thing nurse Williams did was take his blood pressure and it was indeed elevated. Elijah came home and was able to calm down and allow his levels to regulate, but ever since that day nurse Williams goes out of her way not just once, but twice a day to check Elijah‘s vitals. She then sends them to me so we can keep a log to report back to his cardiologist. She is such a great asset to GJM and I hope all of Ingleside ISD realizes the blessing we have in her. The extra care she shows in these situations makes it so much easier as parents to know that daily our child is being cared for at school just as he is at home! She has also taken on the load of being the PTO president and has helped facilitate the school to have so much fun. She does pickle and popcorn days, she attends little league games and watches some of the students from GJM. She, with the help of others, orchestrated the fall festival earlier in the school year and it was a huge success. She embodies what it means to be a recipient of the Family Matters Award." We encourage you that if you witness an employee who goes above and beyond and demonstrates actions or qualities that are worthy of celebrating, to tell their story and help us recognize them! The Ingleside High School Challenge team won their first round of competition against the London Pirates. Last week, they competed in the second round against St. John Paul II. 🐴 Three incredible girls, three shining stars at the A&H Show!⭐️⭐️⭐️ Shout out to the students who go above and beyond in their free time to participate in a hobby they love! The following girls participated in the San Patricio County A&H Show and represented the Ingleside 4H Club stunningly! ⭐️Ella Chrisman - Horse - 1st place halter and 5th place Jr. Showmanship. Homemaking - 2nd place dress-sewing ⭐️Reece Durbin - Horse - Grand Champion Jr. Showmanship, 2nd place Registered Gelding 5 and over ⭐️Renly Durbin - Horse - Reserve Grand Champion Gelding, 3rd place Jr. Showmanship Let's give them a round of applause to celebrate their achievements while showcasing their skills and passion at the A&H Show! The IHS Mustang Smoke Show BBQ Team competed in the Jr. Pitmaster Challenge against 50 teams. They competed against some great competition and came out GRAND CHAMPIONS!!! The team was presented with a $20,000 scholarship! The BBQ Results were as follows: Chicken- 2nd Place Ribs-6th Place Brisket - 1st Place

We enjoyed hosting the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Dual Credit Open House event with Del Mar College Early College Programs. Attendees of San Patricio County had the opportunity to explore industrial dual credit opportunities that are being offered not only in the area, but in our Ingleside High School coursework as well! We are so proud that our students are able to earn college certifications while still enrolled in high school. Programs of study that were exhibited were Millwright, Welding, Instrumentation, and Process Technology.

The 2024 Primary Election Schedule is readily available. Voting in Ingleside will take place on Election Day from 7 AM – 7 PM at Humble Community and Youth Center. Voting is also going to be available at Ingleside on the Bay City Hall on Election Day. Ingleside will not be open for Early Voting for this election. San Patricio County is a Vote Center, so voters will be eligible to vote early in any of the four early voting locations.

🤖BYTE-SIZED AWARD: The Ingleside High School Robotics team has qualified for the Robotics Semi-Regional Competition in San Antonio! The team earned the 'Motivate Award', which celebrates the culture of what it means to be a team. This award celebrates the team and represents the essence of team building, team spirit, and displayed enthusiasm! Here's what the judges said about the 'Cyber Stampede' team: "This rookie team didn't know what to expect. At their first competition, they learned to connect with other teams that have been in their shoes, who knew just how to help so they wouldn't lose. This team will be galloping in to help other teams out and in this, they also win." Congratulations to the Cyber Stampede team!!! We are so proud of y'all!
