For the month of May, Niki Shugart, of Ingleside Primary School was recognized during our School Board Meeting, where she was
celebrated for her outstanding efforts. She was also awarded $100 from the Ingleside ISD Education Foundation.
Below is an excerpt from the nomination that was submitted on her behalf.
"Mrs. Shugart goes above and beyond because she loves her job and she shows it every day by making sure each of her students are well cared for and feel comfortable going to school everyday.
Being a Pre- K teacher can’t be easy because some of these kids go in not having any structure and she provides that for them. She is so patient with her students. With my son, she has constantly communicated with me throughout the year about worries I’ve had and has taken her personal time to follow up with me and make sure my worries have been resolved. She takes the time to communicate what our children are doing in her class and gives us updates about events constantly.
We are all so beyond grateful for the opportunity to have her as a teacher. She deserves to be recognized for her passionate heart for teaching, her patience for her students, and the joy she’s able to give these children by loving her job. It really makes all the difference.”
