For the month of February, Gwenda Techur, of the Transportation Department was recognized during our School Board Meeting, where she was celebrated for her outstanding efforts. She was also awarded $100 from the Ingleside ISD Education Foundation.
Below is an excerpt from the nomination that was submitted on her behalf.
"Ms. Techur truly embodies the spirit of the Family Matters Award. She greets everyone with a warm smile and consistently goes above and beyond in caring for the students and families she serves.
One meaningful example of her dedication is the extra step she takes to drop our son off directly in front of our home, ensuring his safety and sparing him from crossing the corner. While it may seem like a small gesture, it speaks volumes about her compassion and character.
Ms. Techur leads with integrity, kindness, and thoughtfulness. If everyone showed the same level of consideration she does, our schools and community would be an even better place. We are grateful to recognize her for putting “Family Matters” into action every day."
