For the month of October, Stephanie Sierra, of Ingleside Primary School was selected for the Family Matters Award! She was recognized during our School Board Meeting, where she was celebrated for her outstanding efforts. She was also awarded $100 from the Ingleside ISD Education Foundation.
Below is an excerpt from the nomination that was submitted on her behalf.
"As a kindergarten team leader, Mrs. Sierra goes above and beyond each day to support her colleagues with kindness, guidance, and spirit of teamwork. She communicates clearly and consistently, always making sure her team feels informed, prepared, and supported. Her weekly meetings are not just productive, they’re purposeful and uplifting, helping everyone feel confident and connected.
But her leadership doesn’t stop there. In the classroom, Mrs. Sierra shines as an incredible teacher who builds strong partnerships with parents and guardians. She keeps families engaged and informed through regular updates, helpful resources, and snapshots of the wonderful learning happening in her classroom.
Hardworking, caring, and endlessly dedicated, Mrs. Sierra exemplifies the heart of Ingleside ISD, a true teammate, leader, and educator who reminds us that family isn’t just who we teach with, it’s who we grow with."
We encourage you that if you witness an employee who goes above and beyond and demonstrates actions or qualities that are worthy of celebrating, to tell their story and help us recognize them! The nomination form is located on the district website at
www.inglesideisd.org ,under the 'About Us' section of the Menu.
Congratulations, Mrs. Sierra! We're so happy you're a part of the Family at IISD.
