For the month of September, Louis Williams, of Ingleside High School was selected for the Family Matters Award! He was recognized during our School Board Meeting, where he was celebrated for his outstanding efforts. He was also awarded $100 from the Ingleside ISD Education Foundation.
Below is an excerpt from the nomination that was submitted on his behalf.
"Everyone knows Coach Will, Your Coaches favorite Coach, Snix... He is a cornerstone of the Ingleside community, embodying dedication, passion, and selfless service across all levels of education and athletics. As the 10th grade World History teacher at Ingleside High School, his energetic and engaging teaching style ignites a love for learning in his students.
He truly goes above and beyond for his students and athletes, working with our toddlers to teens. He makes it a priority to build strong relationships with each athlete, encouraging them to keep chasing their goals both on and off the field. His positive energy and great sense of humor helps athletes not only learn and grow, but also enjoy the sport they're playing. In addition to his dedication as a coach, he invests countless hours volunteering for youth programs and giving back to the community.
He contributes to school culture through Senior Serve, lends his voice as the spirited announcer at school events, and is widely known as “the ultimate hype man” in any setting. His commitment and character reflect the best of Ingleside ISD, and he represents the district with pride and excellence. For those reasons, I believe he is highly deserving of this nomination and recognition."
We encourage you that if you witness an employee who goes above and beyond and demonstrates actions or qualities that are worthy of celebrating, to tell their story and help us recognize them! The nomination form is located on the district website at www.inglesideisd.org ,under the 'About Us' section of the Menu.
Congratulations, Coach Williams! We're so happy you're a part of the Family at IISD.
