CITGO DISTINGUISHED SCHOLAR: Stephen Muschenheim was selected as a Citgo Distinguished Scholar for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM), where he was a high achiever in classes that focused on math and engineering design challenges. He is 1 of 40 students to receive this award out of the entire Coastal Bend.
Stephen performed at a Distinguished level, earning the highest rank by his demonstration of integration of procedural knowledge and conceptual understanding to resolve complex and novel real-world problems on his Principles of Engineering Assessment with Project Lead the Way. Stephen will be awarded with a scholarship of $1000! Congratulations, Stephen!

Leslie Pena breaks her own shotput record! This morning at the Intracoastal Relays in Flour Bluff, Leslie threw and broke her own record set previously this season.


Congratulations to student athlete, Jaxon Mabile, who set a new squat regional record in the 181 class for Powerlifting this morning!


We are so proud of these ladies who are continuing their academic & athletic endeavors. Seniors, Emily Jimenez and Hannah Colyer, signed with colleges to pursue their future aspirations and goals. Emily will play soccer for Schreiner University in Kerrville, TX and Hannah will be cheering for Austin College in Sherman, TX. Congratulations to these hard working ladies, you’ve made your school and community so proud!





Congratulations goes out to, Jaxon Mabile, of Ingleside Mustang-Athletics, as our Student Athlete of the Week! Jaxon, a senior, is ranked 26th in his class and has a 3.86 GPA. He's been a multi sport athlete at Ingleside in both football and powerlifting. Jaxon, will attend Texas A&M Kingsville next fall where and pursue a degree in Civil Engineering. He recently qualified for Regionals in Powerlifting and will compete this Friday in Bishop. He was also recently named Outstanding Lifter at the Agua Dulce Meet, where he won his 181 pound class with a total of 1700 pounds. He is also now a 2-time Student Athlete of the Week. OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE: Some outstanding Ingleside High School Students were recognized by the The College Board for their performances on the Preliminary SAT. This important test, known as the PSAT is a practice version of the SAT exam. You can only take the PSAT once per year, and many students take the test in both 10th and 11th grade. If you earn a high score on the PSAT your junior year, you could qualify to receive a National Merit Scholarship. The PSAT is 2 hours and 45 minutes long and tests your skills in reading, writing, and math. Needless to say, they did very well! Let's give the following students a round of applause:

We'd like to congratulate IHS Senior, Christian Rocha, for being the 1440 KEYS Student Athlete of the Week. Christian, has a 4.0 GPA, is a member of National Honor Society, and is ranked in the top 20 of his class.
Christian, will attend Houston Baptist University next fall on an academic scholarship. He plans to major in kinesiology, and wants to work for a sports team in the future.
He volunteers his time at Ingleside working the concessions for various sporting events. He's also been a great leader, helping the underclassmen become better at their sports. Keep up the great work, Christian!

Hello Mustangland! At approximately 7:30 AM our fire alarm sounded. Students & staff were safely evacuated from the building. The fire department was dispatched & did a thorough check. The building has been cleared & we will have classes as normally scheduled today!

Attention Mustangland! Today is our 1st annual FAFSA Day!! Seniors & parents can stop by the counselors' office (1-4 PM) or the Library (4-8 PM) for help with the FAFSA . A TAMUCC rep will be here from 4-8 PM to help & answer questions! Don't miss out on this great opportunity!


IISD was able to support over 50 families this Thanksgiving Season!
Our maintenance department made these special boxes for our students to deliver to families, and we want to thank them for this beautiful display of love during the thankful season! Special thanks goes out to ALL departments of IISD that donated items to fill the boxes and A SPECIAL THANK YOU to Coach Kangas and Parent Liaison Vicki Talton for all their efforts in making this happen! Our Mustang Family is truly one of a kind!
